BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN / MANILA / HANOI / SINGAPORE / KUALA LUMPUR - Brunei logged a daily average of 503 new COVID-19 cases in the past week compared to 643 cases per day the week before, official statistics released on Monday showed.
According to the health ministry's weekly briefing, 46,245 Antigen Rapid Test (ART) test results were uploaded to the government platform within one week, with 7.5 percent of them being positive.
Currently, two hospitalized cases are held in the intensive care unit and one case requires oxygen assistance, the health ministry said.
As of Dec 4, 78.9 percent of Brunei's population have received three doses of COVID-19 vaccines, while 11.3 percent have taken the fourth dose.
Malaysia reported 1,576 new COVID-19 infections as of midnight Monday, bringing the national total to 5,001,908, according to the health ministry.
There was one new imported case, with 1,575 cases being local transmissions, data released on the ministry's website showed.
Another three new deaths have been reported, pushing the death toll to 36,716.
Pakistan recorded 25 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health said on Tuesday.
According to data released by the ministry, the overall tally of infected people increased to 1,575,355 across the South Asian country after adding the new cases.
A total of 30,632 people died of COVID-19 in Pakistan, with no more deaths reported on Monday, according to the ministry's statistics.

The Philippines reported 1,141 new COVID-19 infections on Monday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the Southeast Asian country to 4,042,182
The Department of Health said the number of active cases dropped to 17,907, while 25 more patients died from COVID-19 complications, taking the country's death toll to 64,750.
Metro Manila, the capital region with over 13 million people, tallied 484 new cases.

Singapore reported 776 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the total tally to 2,173,172.
A total of 120 cases are currently warded in hospitals, with 10 of them held in intensive care units, according to statistics released by the country's Ministry of Health.
One new death from COVID-19 was reported on Monday, bringing the total death toll to 1,706.

Vietnam recorded 427 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, up 203 from Sunday, according to the country's Ministry of Health.
All the new cases were locally transmitted, said the ministry.
The new infections brought the total tally to 11,518,149. The Southeast Asian country reported no new deaths from the pandemic on Monday, with the total fatalities staying at 43,177.
