Editor's note: In order to promote the concept of the joint development of a more peaceful, harmonious, prosperous, open and beautiful world, China Daily and the Wuxi Municipal People's Government set up the International Cartoon and Illustration Exhibition on a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind. There are two themes-"Low-carbon Lifestyles" and "Discovering Wuxi". Displayed below are award-winning pieces themed on "Low-carbon Lifestyles" as well as some outstanding works themed on "Discovering Wuxi".
Gold Prize

We received more than 3,800 cartoons and illustrations from 50 countries and regions. The high quality of the entries demonstrates the artists' sincere belief in the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind and reflects their devotion to actively participating in protecting the environment and caring for the Earth.
Silver Prize
One of the themes of this year's exhibition was "Low-carbon Lifestyles", which aims to vividly show the impact of climate change on the world through cartoons and illustrations; encourage people to adopt lifestyles that are simple, moderate, green, low-carbon, civilized and healthy; advocate for green and low-carbon consumption and green travel; and enhance the public's awareness of conservation, ecology and environmental protection.

Outstanding Prize under the theme of "Discovering Wuxi"
This year's exhibition also includes a collection of 600 comics and illustrations dedicated to the second theme — "Discovering Wuxi". Created by national and international artists, they fully demonstrate Wuxi's developmental achievements, including the establishment of a "zero-carbon city", "lucid waters and green mountains" and its transformation into an "innovation highland", all goals set by China's government.
