The police seized 48 bags of ketamine with a street value of HK$840 million, and the amount exceeded the total seizure of the drug in the first 11 months of this year.

Two of the suspects will be charged with trafficking dangerous drugs.

Hong Kong police said they will continue investigating the case and will not rule out more arrests.

Drug trafficking is a grave crime — anyone found guilty of the offense will be liable to maximum penalties of life imprisonment and a HK$5 million fine, police added.
