GUANGZHOU - Guangzhou FC thrashed the Cangzhou Mighty Lions 5-2, while Henan Songshan Longmen won over Chongqing Liangjiang Athletic 1-0 in the 11th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) here on Monday.

Brazilian striker Ricardo Goulart opened the scoring for Guangzhou in the third minute, with a follow-up shot, assisted by a header from Gao Zhunyi. After 40 minutes, Goulart was on target again to make it 2-0 for Guangzhou.

Chinese international striker Wei Shihao also scored a brace for Guangzhou in the first half while Zang Yifeng and Xie Pengfei each netted a goal for Cangzhou Mighty Lions. In the 88th minute, Goulart completed his hat-trick to seal the victory for Guangzhou.

Henan Songshan Longmen trounced Chongqing Liangjiang Athletic 1-0 thanks to Brazilian striker Fernando Karanga, who made a right-foot strike in the 11th minute.

Elsewhere, Shandong Taishan routed Qingdao FC 5-0, and Guangzhou City downed Shenzhen FC 1-0.
