HONG KONG – Hong Kong reported zero new COVID-19 infections for the second day in a row on Friday.
In a statement issued in the afternoon, the Centre for Health Protection said no new local or imported case was detected while the city’s tally stood at 11,836.

A total of 20 cases were reported from May 14 to 27, including five untraceable local infections and one possibly local case, it added.
According to the Hospital Authority, 26 confirmed patients are currently hospitalized in 13 public hospitals and the North Lantau Hospital Hong Kong Infection Control Centre, including one in critical condition.
The government said some 2.25 million vaccine doses have been administered as of Thursday since the rollout of the citywide vaccination program on Feb 26.
Official data showed more than 1.3 million people in Hong Kong have taken at least one shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, with about 947,700 people fully vaccinated.
