Indonesia arrests 3 more terror suspects linked to church bombing

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Police's Densus 88 counter-terrorism squad arrested three more suspected terrorists in Makassar, South Sulawesi province, who were allegedly linked to the church bombing that happened days ago, according to an officer on Thursday.

South Sulawesi provincial police spokesman Senior Commissioner E. Zulpan said the three suspects were arrested in different locations.

With the three arrested, the South Sulawesi police have held 16 terrorist suspects including six women, Zulpan said, adding that the police are still investigating the case.

The two perpetrators identified as L and SYF were a couple who just got married last August 2020.

The National Police's Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said they were allegedly linked to the Islamic State organization-affiliated Jemaah Ansharut Daulah terrorist group.
