CBA: Zhejiang Golden Bulls beat Xinjiang

ZHUJI - The Zhejiang Golden Bulls beat the Xinjiang Flying Tigers 123-108, extending their winning streak to seven games on Monday night, while the Shenzhen Aviators beat the Beijing Royal Fighters 119-94, ranking fifth in the standing list.

In the game between Zhejiang and Xinjiang, Zhejiang sparked a 15-3 run in the last quarter to grab the victory.

Six Zhejiang players scored double-digit points, led by Wu Qian and Sylven Landesberg, who notched a game-high 29 points.

Donatas Motiejunas contributed a team-high 26 points and 12 rebounds for Xinjiang, and Zhou Qi also reached a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Shenzhen Aviators center Shen Zijie joined Chinese basketball legends Yao Ming and Mengke Bateer with his all-around performance at both ends against Beijing Royal Fighters.

Shen finished with 10 points, 18 rebounds, five assists and five blocks as Shenzhen sailed to a 119-94 victory.

The 23-year-old center has become the latest Chinese player to record at least 15 rebounds, five assists and five blocks in a CBA regular match since Yao and Bateer, and the first to achieve this in over 12 years, according to the league's official stats.

"The victory belonged to the whole team. We did well in the rebounds and the assists, which were the key points of our victory," said Qiu Biao, the head coach of Shenzhen Aviators.

Yuan Shuan contributed a game-high 46 points to help Shanxi Loongs beat Nanjing Monkey Kings 108-90, having their losing streak stopped at four.

Nanjing led the first quarter 31-25, but Shanxi came from behind from the second quarter and held the lead to the end of the game.

Yuan Shuai scored 13 three-pointers in the game, setting his own career-high point record and creating a new three-pointer record among current CBA players.

In the other game on Monday, the Shandong Heroes edged the Shanghai Sharks 98-88.
