CBA: Shanghai extends winning streak, Zhejiang beats Nanjing

ZHUJI, China - Six players scored in double figures to help Shanghai Sharks claim their sixth straight victory after smashing the Sichuan Blue Whales 122-102 in the 26th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league here on Saturday.

Zhao Yanhao scored 30 points to help the Zhejiang Lions beat the Nanjing Monkey Kings 113-100

Shanghai had a 16-point lead in the first half, and widened the gap to more than 20 points to seal the victory in the last quarter.

Jimmer Fredette pocketed a game-high 27 points for Shanghai, while Deng Meng and Zong Zan contributed 26 and 20 points respectively. Hamed Haddadi had a triple double of 17 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists for Sichuan.

Zhao Yanhao scored 30 points to help the Zhejiang Lions beat the Nanjing Monkey Kings 113-100, who suffered a six-game losing streak.

Zhejiang led the game in the first quarter 35-27 before extending the advantage to more than 20 points at halftime. Although Nanjing narrowed the gap to 16 points in the third quarter and initiated a 6-0 run early in the fourth, they were unable to reverse the game.

Hu Jinqiu contributed 21 points for Zhejiang, and Miroslav Radulica added 16. Arnett Moultrie got a team-high 30 points and 18 rebounds for Nanjing, Xiralijan Muhtar bagged 22 points and 14 assists.

Also on Saturday, the Guangdong Southern Tigers smashed a Xinjiang Flying Tigers side that rested key players Zhou Qi and Zeng Lingxu 132-95, bringing Xinjiang's six-game winning streak to a halt.
