ZHUJI, China - The Jiangsu Dragons ended their six-game losing streak after stunning league leaders Liaoning Flying Leopards 119-112, while Lester Hudson's late three-pointer lifted the Shandong Heroes over the Guangzhou Loong Lions 117-115 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Thursday.

The two sides tied at 28-28 after one quarter. Jiangsu raced ahead 49-41 after Dezmine Wells converted a three-point play, but Zhang Zhenlin bagged eight straight points afterwards, and Mayo followed with a shot from beyond the arc as Liaoning pulled within 57-58 at halftime.

Jiangsu led by as many as 15 points in the third quarter on their way to a 10-point advantage heading into the final period.

Led by Zhao Jiwei and Zhang, Liaoning cut the deficit to four points, but was ruled two technical fouls when coaching staff questioned the refereeing. Wells converted both free throws to help Jiangsu hold on to their leading position.

Wells led Jiangsu's five players in double figures with 30 points. Wu Guanxi posted a double-double of 21 points and 13 boards. Wu Yujia shone from 3-point range, hitting all six attempts for 18 points.

As star duo of Guo Ailun and Han Dejun were sidelined nursing injuries, Liaoning saw their seven-game winning streak brought to a halt, making Zhao's 30-point effort in vain. Zhang and Mayo bagged 25 and 23 points respectively.

Hudson's shot from 3-point land bounced on the rim three times before falling in, giving Shandong a 117-115 lead with 7.9 seconds left.

Dallas Moore failed to convert a three-pointer as an answer ball on the next possession, and Guangzhou had to swallow their sixth consecutive defeat.

Hudson registered a triple-double for the second straight match with 37 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Tao Hanlin scored 29 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Wang Ruheng added 24 points.

Six Guangzhou players managed double-figure points. Chen Yingjun and Marreese Speights nailed 25 and 20 points respectively.

The match was contested in a finely balanced manner until the final two minutes, with a score of 110-110. Chen hit a three, before Wang pocketed four points in a row. After Liu Fengbo pushed Guangzhou in front again, Hudson stepped up to decide the game.

The remaining three matches of the 25th round will be staged on the New Year's Day of 2021. The Qingdao Eagles will take on the Shanxi Loongs, the Beijing Ducks will face the Zhejiang Golden Bulls, with the Jilin Northeast Tigers and the Tianjin Pioneers putting on the other duel.
