DPRK to hold key party meeting on 'issue of crucial significance'

PYONGYANG - The ruling party of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will convene a plenary meeting on Wednesday to "consider an issue of crucial significance," the official Korean Central News Agency reported on Tuesday.

"The Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea decided to convene the 6th Plenary Meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the WPK on August 19 in order to discuss and decide on an issue of crucial significance in developing the Korean revolution and increasing the fighting efficiency of the Party," the report reads.

It added that a decision by the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee was announced on Monday.
