Guangzhou R&F draw with Henan Jianye in Chinese Super League

DALIAN, China - Guangzhou R&F drew with Henan Jianye 1-1 in the third round of Chinese Super League (CSL) here on Wednesday.

Guangzhou R&F will next take on Jiangsu Suning on Sunday, while Henan are to meet Shenzhen FC on Monday

The Henan side took the lead in the 10th minute when Feng Boxuan shot in the goal area thanks to a precise cross from right full back Du Changjie.

Guangzhou R&F, which conceded eight goals in the first two matches, scored their first goal of the season on a free kick by Eran Zahavi, which is also the Israeli striker's 100th goal for the club.

Both sides had more chances, but missed them all. Guangzhou R&F got their first point of the new season after the 1-1 draw.

"It's a great honor for me to achieve this. I want to thank all the people who helped me in the process. The most important thing for us is to move forward, and try to take the first win and more points," said Zahavi, who was the top scorer in the CSL last season.
