HONG KONG – The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government will formulate various proposals for the upcoming Legislative Council election in view of the recent surge in coronavirus infections in the city, the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau announced Tuesday.

Considering the possibility that the coronavirus pandemic is not going away anytime soon, the bureau said it would collaborate closely with the Food and Health Bureau and the Centre for Health Protection and examine the epidemic’s impact on the upcoming LegCo election, slated for Sept 6.
