HONG KONG - Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection (CHP) reported on Wednesday two new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of confirmed cases in Hong Kong to 1,179.
The newly reported cases involve a 47-year-old woman and a man aged 55, both having travel history during the incubation period.
The CHP's epidemiological investigations and relevant contact tracing on the confirmed cases are ongoing.

Given that the situation of COVID-19 infection remains severe with a continuous increase in the number of cases reported around the world, a spokesman of the CHP urged the public to avoid all non-essential travel outside Hong Kong.
