China issues guideline for 4K UHD TV program production

BEIJING - China's National Radio and Television Administration has issued a technical guideline for 4K ultra-high-definition (UHD) TV program production as part of the country's efforts to promote the development of related TV service.

The document aims to improve the quality and production efficiency of 4K ultra-high-definition TV programs in China

Titled "The Guideline for the Implementation of 4K UHD TV Program Production Technology (2020 Edition)," the document aims to improve the quality and production efficiency of 4K ultra-high-definition TV programs in China.

"Promoting 4K UHD TV service is an important step taken by the radio and television industry to implement the innovation-driven development strategy, promote the integration of culture and technology and deepen the radio and television supply-side structural reform," reads the guideline.

The move is of great significance to enhancing the communication capacity and influence of radio and television, as well as the cultural industry development, it added.
