MADRID - Atletico Madrid have suffered a second injury setback as they prepare for the return of football to Spain in around a fortnight.

Forward Angel Correa has suffered a muscle injury in his left leg, the club has confirmed, with Correa joining Portuguese striker Joao Felix on the injury list.

Felix twisted an ankle last week as the Atletico squad raced to recover their full fitness ahead of their return to league action away to Athletic Club Bilbao in the 28th round of games in Liga Santander, which will presumably be played on the 12th and 13th of June.

The two injuries highlight the problems that players are facing in getting match fit in just four weeks of training after eight weeks in which they were only able to take exercise inside of their homes.

The remaining 11 games of the season will all be played behind closed doors with no supporters in the stands and it has also been confirmed that Spain will have football every day until the season is over.

That confirmation comes after the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) accepted that matches can be played on Mondays to end the season as soon as possible.

The RFEF had previously opposed Monday night matches on the basis that late night kick offs make it difficult for supporters, especially those with children to attend games, but with no fans in the ground for the near future, that is not a relevant issue at the moment.
