BOGOTA - Real Madrid could offload James Rodriguez to cross-city rivals Atletico Madrid this summer, according to media reports in the midfielder's native Colombia.

James has made just 13 appearances across all competitions for Real Madrid this season, scoring once and providing two assists

The 28-year-old, whose current contract expires in June 2021, has struggled for opportunities since returning to the Spanish capital in July after a two-year loan spell with Bayern Munich.

According to Blu Radio, Atletico's bid stands out "among many offers" because of the playmaker's preference to remain in Madrid.
