HONG KONG - Hong Kong residents were out in droves on Sunday to sign a petition in support of their home city having a national security law.

The city-wide campaign, launched by a local alliance of more than 2,000 cross-sector representatives, will last till May 31.

Residents can also log on to the alliance's website at www.signforhk2020.com to sign up their support for the law. So far, it has collected over 43,000 signatures.
