Coronavirus: HK records third death, confirms 4 new cases

HONG KONG – The city on Sunday recorded its third death from the COVID-19 disease, as it confirmed four more infections from the deadly novel coronavirus, bringing the tally to 114.

The 114th confirmed case involves a 59-year-old female, who lives in Yuen Long. The patient is asymptomatic.

Local reports also revealed a 44-year-old male preliminarily tested positive for the virus. He is the driver of a 56-year-old male patient of Indian origin who was confirmed to be infected on Friday.

Related to a Buddhist worship hall in North Point, the second case, a 55-year-old man, is husband to the city’s 83rd patient and father to the 84th patient.  

A 47-year-old domestic helper to the city’s 85th patient is the third case of novel coronavirus infection. She showed no symptom of contracting the disease.

The other case involves a 41-year-old man who had traveled to Japan and London. He returned Hong Kong on Feb 28 via Flight CX250 and experienced headache and runny nose on March 2. He is classified as “case of probable local transmission”.
