While Sancho is said to be sitting on packed luggage and join a Premier League side this summer after enchanting performances in the Bundesliga, Dortmund surprisingly quickly seems to have found a suitable replacement

The case of England's biggest talent Jude Bellingham seems to confirm the 2012 German champion's exclusive position.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal), Ousmane Dembele (Barcelona), and Christian Pulisic (Chelsea) made their way to one of Europe's top sides using the Westphalians as a springboard for further development.

After Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho (both 19) joined the German side, the next spectacular case is expected to take place.

While Sancho is said to be sitting on packed luggage and join a Premier League side this summer after enchanting performances in the Bundesliga, Dortmund surprisingly quickly seems to have found a suitable replacement.

"Young players are aware of the opportunity we trust in their skills in competitive games," Zorc commented.

Midfielder Bellingham from second division side Birmingham City is said to be the country's hottest commodity. The Birmingham-born youngster, turning 17 in June 2020, became the youngest player in the club's shirt, turning up in a League Cup game last August shortly after his 16th birthday.

English media praise him the Championship talent as new wonder-boy of football. The queue of interested parties is including 2019 Champions League winner Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, Spanish giant Barcelona, and Ajax.

German media reports speak of a done deal (Sport Bild) or advanced negotiations (Kicker) between the footballer and Borussia. Dortmund is said to invest around 30 to 35 million euros for the new arrival. The Englishman would possibly be the most expensive transfer in the club's history (Hummels/31 million from Bayern).

While some of the former cases might have caused trouble as Aubameyang and Dembele went on strike to force their departure, Dortmund meanwhile seems to have found a way to deal with ambitious but demanding lads.

The club's leaders convinced idiosyncratic Sancho to follow required principals and benefit from necessary disciplinary management demanded by the BVB.

Sancho's successful development (14 goals/15 assists this season) reassured the 2013 Champions League final participant to continue its strict patterns.

Birmingham goalkeeper David Stockdale praised the youngster's grown-up attitude and told the Guardian: "People already deal him like a super-star, but he doesn't take notice of that. He is very mature and has all the properties to make it to the very top."

According to the Premier League rules, youngsters are only allowed to sign contracts as professionals when turning 17. The fact seems to provide the chance for Dortmund to step in and outpace football's greatest clubs.
