Chinese nationals in US urged to guard against virus

LOS ANGELES - Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles on Wednesday called on Chinese nationals in the United States to closely follow local COVID-19 developments and take measures to protect their health and safety.

Consulate advised Chinese nationals to closely follow media reports on the disease and take protective measures

The consulate made the call after data showed 11 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in southern California and two in the neighboring state of Arizona.

In a release, consulate advised Chinese nationals to closely follow media reports on the disease and take protective measures outlined by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Chinese nationals are also advised to avoid traveling to a third country or region heavily hit by the virus, and heed local entry quarantine, virus prevention and control measures, including self-isolation, while traveling across borders.
