Low Altitude Economy Forum, International Finance Expo, AIPC annual meeting

HONG KONG – Hong Kong’s investment promotion arm Invest Hong Kong will host its inaugural Low Altitude Economy Forum on Friday, as the city doubles its efforts to tap into the rising low-altitude aviation sector.

The forum will spotlight the findings of the regulatory sandbox pilot projects and the latest legislation and regulatory framework governing the low-altitude flying activities.

The event will feature three panel discussions aimed at advancing the development of a safe, efficient, and innovative low-altitude flying ecosystem. Topics will include top-notch research, the establishment of enabling infrastructure such as charging stations and air route networks, as well as the exploration of application scenarios.

Meeting of global financial insiders

The 14th China (Guangzhou) International Finance Expo (GIFE), set to begin on Thursday, will bring together financial leaders, institutions, and experts from around the world.

Serving as a platform to showcase financial innovations and foster collaboration, the three-day event will focus on three themes — supporting the real economy, preventing financial risks, and advancing financial reform.

Besides promoting financial literacy and hosting academic discussions, it will also include networking sessions, such as industry matchmaking, product promotion, and talent exchanges.

Showcasing space accomplishments

An ongoing exhibition on China’s accomplishments in aerospace and defense technologies in Dongguan, which will run through July 15, is showcasing more than 500 exhibits, including the lunar soil samples collected by the Chang'e-5 mission, which is displayed for the first time in Dongguan.

The 20,000-square-meter exhibition area is divided into three main sections, highlighting aerospace and defense technology as well as large equipment such as satellite and rocket models. Engaging activities, such as VR simulations of rocket launches, are also offered.

Premier convention conference

The annual conference of the International Association of Convention Centers (AIPC) will take place in Shenzhen from Sunday to Wednesday, marking the premier event’s debut in the Chinese mainland.

The conference will focus on two key themes – AI digital technology challenges and sustainability challenges.

It will gather over 200 industry leaders and decision-makers from around 60 countries and regions to discuss the hottest topics in the industry. The AIPC president and CEOs from top global conference venues will share insights on market strategy and customer experience enhancements, exploring the latest industry trends such as AI applications in conference centers.
