Driven by the growth of its enterprise network solutions business and artificial intelligence-empowered strategies, HKBN Ltd showed robust performance in the past financial year, according to its second interim results announced on Tuesday.

The Hong Kong telecom company recorded HK$11.8 billion ($1.5 billion) in total revenue over 12 months ending Aug 31, 2026, indicating a 6.2 percent yearly increase, with a 53 percent jump in net profit to HK$317 million.

“This year, with a clear strategy, a strong business foundation, and close collaboration with China Mobile, HKBN has captured market opportunities and delivered sustainable growth,” said Li Xin, HKBN executive director and group chief executive officer.

As the group’s core growth engine, the revenue of HKBN’s Enterprise Solutions business grew by 11 percent over the last financial year to HK$8.2 billion, while revenue from Residential Solutions experienced a 1 percent drop.

The company positioned AI-empowered telecommunication network services as the main driver of business growth. As Hong Kong’s first telecom service provider in Hong Kong to offer a complete enterprise-grade AI service platform, HKBN has attracted 1,960 corporate clients to its "HKBN AI+" platform, generating over HK$20 million in revenue since its launch in May, according to Li.

“By driving deeper integration of AI into our business, we aim to serve households across the community, empower various industries, and support Hong Kong’s integration into and service for the overall national development,” said Shi Xiaoping, HKBN board chairman and executive director.

Shi also said development of the Northern Metropolis is a significant opportunity for HKBN, as the company will proactively build out network infrastructure to provide high-speed broadband connectivity to newly constructed commercial and residential buildings.
