In a 21-minute clash, Lee Ka-yi and Tang Ming-hong beat teammates Toby Tse Yee-lam and Lai Cheuk-nam to secure the special administrative region’s fifth gold medal at the Games. Tse and Lai took home the silver.

Their victories brought the SAR’s total medals tally to 31 so far -- five golds, 12 silvers and 14 bronzes.
On Saturday, Hong Kong squash player Chan Sin-yuk secured a bronze medal in the women’s singles event after a 0-3 loss to Malaysia’s Sivasangari Subramaniam in the semi-finals.

The SAR’s fencers also took honors on Saturday, with the women’s foil team claiming the bronze after losing 27-45 to Japan in the semi-finals, with no third-place playoff held for the event. The Hong Kong, China team’s men’s saber team added another bronze being defeated 24-45 by South Korea.
Hong Kong has about 580 athletes competing in the 2026 Asian Games which runs from Sept 19 to Oct 4.
