ISLAMABAD – Pakistan said on Thursday that no military action was currently under discussion under its Makkah Joint Defense Agreement with Turkiye and Saudi Arabia in response to Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan made the remarks at a weekly media briefing when asked how Pakistan planned to fulfill its obligations under the trilateral defense pact.

"There is no such thing under discussion right now ... When the time comes, we will act under the agreement," Khan said.
The agreement, signed last month, stipulates that an armed attack on any one of the three countries will be considered an attack on all of them.
He also strongly condemned Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed Pakistan's solidarity with the kingdom.
