Ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival, thousands of colorful lanterns were already on display in Tai Kiu Market in Hong Kong's Yuen Long district on Monday, creating a traditional festive atmosphere. 

Known locally as "Lantern Street," the seasonal pop-up transforms one of the aisles of the traditional wet market into a vibrant spectacle of color, drawing visitors from across the city to take photos and select their favorite festive decorations.

Featuring hundreds of traditional paper-mesh designs alongside contemporary characters, these iconic displays showcase the rich heritage of Hong Kong’s folk craftsmanship, bringing a vibrant community life and a cheerful festive spirit to the neighborhood every autumn.
