A launching ceremony for the "Innovate with Grace, Peace in Cyberspace" campaign was held on Friday at the Whitty Street Tram Depot in Hong Kong.

Jointly organized by the Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre (HKCERT), the Digital Policy Office, and the Hong Kong Police Force, the four-week initiative will deploy two "mobile cybersecurity education stations" across Hong Kong Island until September 24.

The campaign aims to raise public awareness and strengthen scam-prevention capabilities in response to rising AI-driven phishing threats. Such threats accounted for over 60 percent of security incidents in the city in the first half of 2026, with 5,305 cases recorded—a 25 percent increase compared with the same period in 2025, according to official data.
