
Schools across Hong Kong reopened on Tuesday as the new academic year began, bringing students back to campuses for the term’s first day.
Overall traffic conditions have been mostly smooth.
The Emergency Transport Co-ordination Centre of the Transport Department has been escalated to the Joint Steering Mode – the highest tier – from 6:30 am to closely monitor traffic and public transport services across various districts in Hong Kong.
Secretary for Education Choi Yuk-lin attended the commencement ceremony of the Hong Kong Taoist Association Wun Tsuen School in Sau Mau Ping, praising the school’s efforts to support non-Chinese-speaking students and its flexible space design, which enables a wide range of learning activities.
