S. Korea says joint military drills with US to proceed as scheduled

SEOUL – South Korea's Defense Ministry said Monday that the Ulchi Freedom Shield (UFS) exercise is proceeding as planned, adding that it would provide further updates if there are any developments.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said on Sunday local time that he had instructed the Pentagon to substantially reduce joint military exercises with South Korea.
