Cyberport launched the “AI for All” inclusive program on Wednesday to empower the general public as well as underprivileged people, reinforcing Hong Kong’s commitment to citywide artificial intelligence literacy and digital inclusion.
The program offers a mix of online AI courses, workshops and site tours tailored for students, parents, the elderly and the underprivileged.
Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry Sun Dong said at the launch ceremony that Hong Kong regards AI as a key industry and has adopted the strategy of “industries for AI” and “AI for industries” to empower its development, as it has emerged as a critical driver of enhanced core competitiveness.

“Artificial intelligence is a universal language, and our vision is to build a truly inclusive digital society where no one is left behind,” he added, in remarks to ethnic minorities.
Simon Chan Sai-ming, chairman of Cyberport, said, “We will fully align with the HKSAR government’s policy directions with firm conviction, serving as a bridge connecting technology and people’s livelihoods.”

“Among over 2,300 member enterprises at Cyberport, more than 500 specialize in AI. Leveraging the vibrant and mature innovation and technology ecosystem, we will partner with schools, education bodies, social welfare organizations and communities for cross-sector collaboration to bring AI to every corner of society.”
The program’s launch ceremony featured more than 15 AI interactive booths where local technology firms, social service organizations and educational institutions showed how AI can enhance daily life while promoting public awareness and responsible use.
As Hong Kong’s digital technology hub and AI accelerator, Cyberport has brought together startups specializing in AI and big data, building a robust AI ecosystem. This launch marks a significant start in its efforts to make the basics of AI popular, said Cyberport.
