Heavy machinery industry giants from the Chinese mainland pledged to support their global partners with cutting-edge solutions featuring green and digital technologies at a conference in Hanoi, Vietnam on Wednesday.

They also committed to step up engagement in the Southeast Asian market — particularly in Vietnam — with the goal of accelerating the country's infrastructure development and fostering broader business cooperation between China and Vietnam.

The remarks were made at Shandong Heavy Industry Group (SDHI) Global Partners Conference, where company representatives and government officials said they hoped to further mutual cooperation and explore more possibilities.

Addressing the conference, Truong Thanh Hoai, deputy minister of industry and trade of Vietnam, said that Vietnam has formulated policies for industry, energy, and logistics to move toward green, clean, and sustainable development, noting that the new technological solutions showcased by SDHI are aligned with Vietnam's development directions in green transportation, digital transformation, and improving the quality of logistics infrastructure.

He said the Vietnamese government will keep enhancing the business environment, promoting green development, and creating favorable conditions for domestic and foreign enterprises, including SDHI, and hoped that SDHI can strengthen practical cooperation with Vietnamese partners, as well as deepening its localized presence.

Sun Fenglei, chairman of the China Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, said the event is a vivid example of China's green intelligent manufacturing reaching out to member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, and connecting with the broader global market.

“I’m looking forward to a time when SDHI can adapt to Vietnam's green transition needs, and promote the localization of high-end equipment,” Sun said.

Wang Zhijian, chairman of SDHI Group, said the global equipment manufacturing industry is undergoing profound transformation, and China's green and intelligent technologies, markets, and ecosystems are leading the way.

“We will join hands with partners worldwide to build a new value-driven, growth-oriented ecosystem, injecting strong momentum into the world's sustainable development," Wang vowed.

SDHI’s associated companies also launched their latest green and intelligent products at the conference. .

Weichai Group has unveiled its microgrid solution. It targets the surging market demand driven by the accelerated build-out of global computing infrastructure, the widespread adoption of zero-carbon industrial parks, and the intelligent upgrading of remote mining operations. The solution delivers a one-stop and fully integrated power and energy system that is low-cost, low-emission, and highly reliable.

Shantui Construction Machinery introduced its smart construction solutions and a full range of new-energy construction machinery. Leveraging its SSC2.0 smart construction platform, the company has built a comprehensive smart construction system— from earth filling and leveling to compaction — and has already delivered over 70 smart construction projects worldwide.
