HONG KONG - An annual gala made a comback to mark the 29th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the Hong Kong Coliseum on Tuesday night.

The extravaganza, organized by the Hong Kong Celebrations Association and held hours before the July 1 anniversary, brought together a star-studded lineup - including Cantonpop icons Alan Tam Wing-lun and Chung Chun-to, also known as Kenny Bee - and other artists who presented a spectacular show, including singing, dancing and acrobatics.

Zhou Ji, director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR, and Chief Executive of the HKSAR John Lee Ka-chiu were among the officials who attended the event.
