Residents and students in Hong Kong gathered at the Patriotic Education Center in Tai Wai on Wednesday to watch a live broadcast of a Beijing ceremony celebrating the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

The ceremony, commemorating the 105th anniversary of the CPC’s founding, was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

After the screening, a flag-raising ceremony was held at the center to mark the 29th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
