HONG KONG – Running from Friday to July 1, the 2026 Sun Life Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Festival offers an immersive celebration filled with vibrant activities and cultural highlights.

Marking its 50th anniversary, the highlight event – the Sun Life Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races – will take place on June 27-28, drawing elite athletes from around the world to battle for the prestigious "Best of the Best" title.

Tourists can enjoy exclusive perks at designated venues by presenting valid travel documents—available on a first-come, first-served basis. These include a complimentary beer voucher, a rice dumpling plush keychain voucher, or a free ice lolly.

The prime viewing zone stretches along the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade from the Kowloon Shangri-La to the Bruce Lee Statue on the Avenue of Stars.

APEC Tourism Ministerial Meeting

The 13th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Tourism Ministerial Meeting is set to begin on Wednesday in Macao.

As one of the major meetings in APEC China 2026, the five-day high-level event will be a platform for representatives to conduct in-depth exchanges on major tourism issues, build consensus, and promote the high-quality development of tourism and its related industries.

The participants will have the opportunity to experience the charm and heritage of Macao, a vibrant blend of Chinese and Western cultures, also renowned as a world center of tourism and leisure.

Future of smart transportation

The 2026 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intelligent Transportation Science and Technology Innovation Conference and Achievement Exhibition will be held from Wednesday to Friday at the Poly World Trade Center Expo in Guangzhou.

Spanning more than 40,000 square meters of exhibition area, the event is expected to host over 450 exhibitors, 32000 professional visitors, alongside over 30 concurrent events.

Covering the full ecosystem lifecycle —from investment and design to construction, operations, and maintenance — the exhibition will feature a series of professional forums, attracting transportation officials and buyer delegations from Belt and Road countries.
