HONG KONG –  The world's premier pop culture convention Comic Con made its debut in Hong Kong on Friday, drawing a large crowd of anime enthusiasts and cosplayers to immerse themselves in the world of entertainment.

Running from Friday to Sunday, the multigenre entertainment event featured a variety of performances, booths on official merchandise and life-size anime figures for photo ops, covering genres including comics, science fiction, animation, gaming and cosplay.

Visitors will also have opportunities to meet international marquee actors and actresses, from South Korean popular actor Byeon Woo-seok to Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen, from US actor Norman Reedus to British actor Jamie Campbell Bower, and more.

Since its founding in 1970 in San Diego, the Comic Con has become a global annual event for comics and animation culture, showcasing the latest comics, superheroes, and science fiction films, bringing comic book artists and movie stars together.
