The Foreign Ministry on Wednesday reiterated China's opposition to the United States' deployment of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile defense system in South Korea.
Media reports said the Pentagon is moving parts of the THAAD system from South Korea to the Middle East.
In response, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said: "We have noticed the relevant reports."
"China's position of opposing the US deployment of the THAAD missile defense system in South Korea remains unchanged," he told a daily news briefing.
