Foreign Ministry denies reports of arms sales to Iran

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning on Monday dismissed reports claiming that Iran is close to reaching a procurement agreement with China for CM-302 supersonic anti-ship missiles as false information.

As a responsible major country, China consistently fulfills its international obligations, Mao said at a daily news briefing, adding that China opposes malicious speculation and hype linking unrelated issues.

She expressed hope that the relevant parties will do more to help ease tensions.
