MANILA -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) has dismissed more than 9,000 rogue personnel for misconduct, criminal activities, and drug-related offenses as part of its nearly 10-year-long intensified internal cleansing program aimed at restoring public trust and enforcing accountability within the force.

Data from the PNP Directorate for Personnel and Records Management released late Tuesday showed that from July 2016 to November 26, 2025, a total of 32,698 police personnel were found guilty of various administrative offenses.

Of these, 9,027 were dismissed from the service, underscoring the PNP's "zero-tolerance stance against officers who violate the law or betray public confidence."

The PNP also reported that 1,037 of those dismissed were linked to illegal drug cases or tested positive for drug use, highlighting the organization's sustained crackdown on "rogue cops" and its internal campaign against narcotics.

Other penalties imposed included salary forfeiture for 1,221 personnel, reprimands for 4,355, restrictions for 528, and the removal of certain privileges for 531 officers.

The PNP vowed to continue strictly enforcing its disciplinary measures to further strengthen internal cleansing efforts and institutional discipline.
