LONDON - Arsenal opened up a six-point lead at the top of the Premier League with a 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the north London derby on Sunday.
Arsenal quickly took control of the match, with Leandro Trossard putting his side ahead with a left-footed shot in the 36th minute.
Eberechi Eze doubled the lead in the 41st minute with a low finish from Declan Rice's pass, and effectively ended hopes of a Tottenham comeback in the opening minute of the second half when he added Arsenal's third.

Richarlison pulled a goal back for Tottenham in the 55th minute, but Eze completed his hat-trick in the 76th minute when he collected a pass from Trossard and fired a powerful shot into the top corner.
Also on Sunday, Leeds United slipped into the bottom three after letting a one-goal lead slip in a 2-1 defeat away to Aston Villa.
