Apple CEO Tim Cook said on Wednesday that the US tech company will continue to increase its investment in China and further expand its cooperation with the country, aiming for mutual benefits and shared success.

Cook made the comments in a meeting with Li Lecheng, China's minister of industry and information technology, in Beijing.

During the meeting, Li highlighted China's vast market scale and well-established industrial system as key factors driving substantial potential for investment and consumption. He reiterated China's commitment to high-level opening-up and its efforts to advance "intelligent industrialization" and "industrial intelligentialization".

Li also emphasized that China will continue to improve the business environment for foreign enterprises, including Apple.

He encouraged Apple to deepen its presence in the Chinese market and actively participate in the country's new industrialization drive, fostering collaborative innovation with upstream and downstream partners in China's industrial chain.
