HONG KONG – The 45th Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and electronicAsia — an exhibition featuring electronic components and production technology — will kick off on Monday at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The four-day fair brings together more than 3,200 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions to show their latest smart products for home and commercial use, with a focus on cutting-edge advancements in artificial intelligence, robotics, the silver economy, and digital entertainment.
Deep Robotics will showcase its quadrupedal robots, while Qiangnao Technology will demonstrate its next-generation bionic arm.
With over 20 themed zones, the fairs will debut “RISE Avenue”, a platform for emerging brands to display robotic innovations, gaming accessories, and home entertainment products. The “RoboPark” space will host more than 30 interactive events, spotlighting robotics applications in business, rehabilitation, and daily life.
Embodied AI fair
The 2025 GBA International Embodied Intelligent Robot Industry Conference and Exhibition will be held at Guangzhou Aerotropolis Expo Center from Oct 22 to 24.
The fair will offer an in-depth focus on the entire industry chain of embodied intelligent robots, encompassing core components and foundational technologies, complete embodied intelligent robot systems, software and algorithms, as well as application scenarios and industry-specific solutions. Industry leaders will share cutting-edge achievements and market trends.
It is expected to exhibit over 500 brands, and gather over 30,000 professional attendees and more than 220 specialized buyer groups hailing from over 50 countries and regions.
Chinese arts meet Lusophone arts
From October to December, the 7th “Encounter in Macao – Arts and Cultural Festival between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries” will bring together over 780 artists and performers from around the world to present more than 80 programs.
The event will be held in conjunction with the “2025 GEG Lusofonia Festival”, featuring six core activities, including the Chinese and Portuguese Picture Book Fair and the Chinese and Portuguese Tasting Workshop.
The GEG Lusofonia Festival, taking place from Oct 24 to Nov 2, will highlight Angolan culture and showcase performances by groups from 10 Portuguese-speaking countries and regions, as well as over 40 local artists who speak Portuguese.
Shenzhen National Games events
The 15th National Games of the People’s Republic of China will see its Shenzhen events kick off on Tuesday, with the football tournament for men under 18 years old as the opening competition.
Matches will run through Oct 25 at four professional stadiums, including the Shenzhen Sports Center Stadium.
The Bicycle Motocross (BMX) freestyle competition will begin on Oct 24 in Guangming district, where cyclists will have 60 seconds to perform complex tricks. Among the athletes is Deng Yawen, who won China’s first BMX Olympic gold in the women’s park event at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
