MOSCOW - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree to draft 135,000 conscripts for military service in the autumn call-up, Russia's TASS news agency reported on Monday.

The draft, covering citizens aged 18 to 30, will run from Oct 1 until the end of the year.

Russia conducts conscriptions twice a year, in spring and autumn. In spring 2025, 160,000 people were called up, while 133,000 were enlisted in autumn 2024.
