JAKARTA - Indonesia has issued 1,012 golden visas to foreign citizens, securing more than 48 trillion rupiah ($2.9 billion) in investment as of Sept 23, 2025, the Directorate General of Immigration under the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections said in a press release on Friday.
"The achievement of the Golden Visa program by September 2025 proves that Indonesia is becoming increasingly attractive to global investors and talent. We hope this positive trend will continue to support national development and strengthen the Indonesian economy," said Yuldi Yusman, acting director general of immigration, in the press release.

Of the total investment, 46.5 trillion rupiah came from foreign companies, 249.3 billion rupiah from individual investors, and 1.45 trillion rupiah from other categories. The program has also contributed 12.96 billion rupiah to non-tax state revenue.
Launched in July 2024 to attract capital and talent, the golden visa grants residency for five to ten years to investors, foreigners with specialized skills, world figures, and former Indonesian citizens and their descendants.
Holders enjoy benefits such as priority access at airports, streamlined immigration services, and legal certainty for investment and employment in Indonesia.
