GUANGZHOU—The results of the 2025 Phoenix Star Best Listed Companies were announced on Tuesday, with 23 companies recognized across nine categories during a gala ceremony.
As a highlight of the New Landscape, New Roadmap—Phoenix Financial Forum for the Greater Bay Area 2025, the award program spotlighted top-tier listed firms that exemplify competitiveness and leadership, offering valuable insights for Chinese enterprises navigating global expansion.
Liu Cuilan, council member of the China Association for Public Companies, lauded the awards’ evolution during her keynote speech.
“The Phoenix Star initiative has matured from its exploratory phase into a well-established platform,” she noted. “In today’s rapidly shifting global economy, where cross-border growth is imperative, this recognition not only celebrates listed companies advancing internationalization but also reinforces their potential to shape future paradigms.”
Michael Kelly, executive director of the Drucker Institute at Claremont Graduate University, emphasized a broader definition of success.
“The awardees demonstrate that the true measure of trade and economic progress lies not just in export volumes, IPOs, or market capitalization, but in fostering trust, building resilient societies, and driving enduring innovation.”
The 2025 awards employed an assessment framework centered on five pillars: market valuation management, corporate reputation, human capital stewardship, innovation, and globalization.
Designed to align with evolving global expectations—such as ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards and talent value—the criteria blend traditional financial metrics with forward-looking elements like "human-centric management" and "reputation integrity".
A preliminary review on August 28 shortlisted candidates, forming a benchmark pool. Following the August 31 application deadline, additional standout entrants were added through public voting and expert deliberation. Ultimately, 23 companies emerged victorious.
The awards featured nine categories, spanning innovation, shareholder returns, social responsibility, growth potential, brand strength, and global impact.
The companies span various industries, including manufacturing, consumer goods, finance, and others.
