Ukraine says Russia attacked its energy infrastructure in 6 regions

KYIV - Russia launched drone attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, including gas transit facilities, in six regions overnight on Wednesday, the Ukrainian Energy Ministry said in a statement.

The strikes targeted the northern Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the eastern Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, the southern Zaporizhzhia region, and the central Poltava region.

Gas transportation infrastructure in the Poltava region sustained significant damage, according to the statement.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Air Force said it intercepted 74 out of the 95 drones launched by Russia, while 21 drones hit nine locations.
