Macao offers free bus rides for international visitors in Hong Kong

The Macao Government Tourism Office has announced that it was launching a special offer providing free direct coach tickets for international visitors arriving in Hong Kong starting Tuesday.

The tourism office said the free service, offered in partnership with the Hong Kong-Macao bus service operator, will last until Dec 31, 2026.

Upon arrival at Hong Kong International Airport, eligible international visitors can go to a designated counter to obtain free one-way coach tickets to Macao via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.

The MGTO said that the special offer is designed to attract more international visitors to travel to Macao and boost visitor arrivals from diverse markets.

Visitors can make advance bookings on the official website of the bus service operator Hong Kong & Macao International Airport Transportation Service Co Ltd.

The special offer is subject to terms and conditions set by the service operator and the actual supply of seats, and the free tickets are available within a limited quota.

Macao recorded 36.49 million visitor arrivals in the first 11 months of 2025, up 14.4 percent year-on-year, according to the city’s Statistics and Census Service.

In November, the number of international visitors rose 13.6 percent year-in-year to 273,950. South Korea, the Philippines, and Malaysia made up the city’s top three segments of foreign visitors.
