ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday announced the establishment of the Army Rocket Force Command to strengthen the country's conventional defense capabilities.

Speaking at a ceremony marking Pakistan's 78th Independence Anniversary in Islamabad, Sharif said the new command would be equipped with advanced technology, describing it as a milestone in enhancing national security. He did not provide further details.
The prime minister reiterated his appeal for political parties, stakeholders and civil society to join the "Charter for Pakistan's Stability" to promote unity and collective progress, saying it was time to move beyond political division and personal interest.
