Hong Kong residents woke up to torrential rains on Tuesday, which forced the city’s weather forecaster to issue the year’s first black rainstorm warning.
The Hong Kong Observatory first issued the amber rainstorm alert at 8:05 am, which it replaced with the red warning at 8:40 am before raising the alert to black just half an hour later.
