The ASEAN Media Capacity Building Workshop, co-held by the Chinese Mission to ASEAN and China Daily, reached a successful conclusion on Friday. During a week of learning and exchanges, media professionals from ASEAN countries had gained substantial insights, the participants said at the graduation ceremony.
The workshop not only enhanced their media capacity building but also promoted cultural exchanges, strengthening friendships, the participants stressed.
At the closing ceremony, media friends from various countries formed four groups, each delivering a presentation on their impressions. Some showcased videos, while others utilized AI-generated visuals. Following the presentations, the organizers awarded certificates of completion to all the participants.
During the program, the workshop analyzed media transformation in the new era, exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) can empower news reporting. Participants also visited Hong Kong’s Cyberport and multiple sites in Shenzhen, giving ASEAN media professionals a firsthand look at the dynamic development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).
Lilik Suci Cendrani, a journalist from Indonesia’s Metro TV, remarked that the workshop had been truly meaningful and she will apply what she has learned into her daily work after returning home.
