JAKARTA - Chinese Premier Li Qiang said on Sunday that China stands ready to join Indonesia to address risks and challenges, and consolidate cooperation in the "five pillars" of politics, economy, people-to-people and cultural exchange, maritime affairs and security.
Li, who is paying an official visit to Indonesia, made the remarks during talks with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
Stressing that China is ready to work with Indonesia to promote political mutual trust and strategic coordination between the two countries to a higher level, the Chinese premier pointed out that China is willing to work with Indonesia to enhance alignment of development strategies, and deepen high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.
Li also urged both countries to expand cooperation in areas including finance, new energy, digital economy, artificial intelligence, aerospace and the ocean.
In the face of risks and challenges, solidarity and cooperation are the right way out, Li said, adding that China stands ready to work with Indonesia and other developing countries to promote an equal and orderly multipolar world, and a universally beneficial and inclusive economic globalization.

Prabowo said Indonesia is willing to work with China to follow through on the consensus on maritime joint development.
He also pointed out that Indonesia stands ready to work with China to speed up consultations on the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea, and jointly safeguard peace and stability in the region.
