"With this historic feat, Shakil has become a living link between the depths of the Bay and the heights of the Himalayas," read the post.

The climber started this journey on Feb 25 to raise awareness about plastic pollution and promote sustainable solution, according to the website of the UNDP in Bangladesh.

Nepal has permitted 468 climbers from 57 countries and regions to scale Mount Qomolangma during the spring climbing season that started in April and runs through May.
